Julie Fenton Honored by PBN
selected as one of RI's top executives

Providence Business News, RI's leading business publication, announced the selection of Julie Fenton as one of Rhode Island's 40 under 40 -- the region's best young talent in business.

Julie joined The Fenton Group from Cone Communications, a Division of Omnicom, where she led global and national cause and public relations accounts for a diverse list of Fortune 200 clients such as Microsoft, Royal Bank of Canada, PNC Financial Services, Dell, Sprint, Sprint PCS, ConAgra Foods, Washington Mutual and the American Heart Association. As a Senior Vice President at Cone, she led the creation of the highly successful Go Red for Women national campaign for the American Heart Association.

Julie’s led the creation for the branding, strategy and implementation of Alticor’s $100 million global cause marketing program, Gillette’s Face Forward initiative, PNC’s Grow Up Great $100 million ten-year program, Washington Mutual’s Investing Ourselves -- an initiative for housing and education, and Microsoft’s Unlimited Potential community-based learning centers.

Previous to her four-year tenure with Cone, Julie served as Director of Corporate Communications for GTECH Corporation, a leading global information technology company with over $1 billion in revenues and 5,400 people in 45 countries. At GTECH, she oversaw national and international communications issues including public relations, re-branding and community relations.

Julie’s work in the Marketing field has garnered numerous national and regional recognition including: Public Relations Society of America’s highest honor, the Silver Anvil, PR Week’s “Campaign of the Year”, Bell Ringers for the categories of Graphic Identity, Community Service Campaign, Television Public Service Announcement and Marketing Communications Campaign.

Julie is a graduate of Brown University and Boston University’s School of Communications. She is the mother of two and recently co-chaired the successful capital campaign for Mercymount Country Day School.
